The Red, Red Robin-R in Sentences

It’s still Spring with lots of R words all around. The last 2 posts were sentences of R after a vowel and R blends.  These sentences have R at the beginning of words.

  • The robin is making a nest.
  • The rose is budding.
  • I see red tulips.
  • It’s raining cats and dogs.
  • Rain, rain go away.
  • Taste the rhubarb.
  • Kids like to race at school.
  • They run and chase.
  • Some kids skip at recess.
  • They line up when the bell rings.

If you’re just starting out teaching the R sound with a student, make sure you look at previous posts under the “ready for r” tag for tips about where to begin.  Only teach sentences when the student is ready.
